I write music for truth. Often the moments I am the most honest with myself happen while sitting alone in a room with my voice and a guitar. I play in circles until suddenly there is clarity and for just a moment my world has order. With this EP, I wanted to try to capture that honesty and truth the best I could. I stood alone in a room (got high) and played these songs imagining myself back at the time and place each was created. Amy is not any one person, but a representation of the things we hold within ourselves out of fear and guilt of their reality. All the while waiting for someone or something to pull them into the light of day and be validated as beautiful.
I hope that you are able to find your own truth within these songs just as I did.
